Integration Engineer

Position: Integration Engineer

Description:

In this role you will have the complete technical and project management responsibility for small to medium size software projects, including design, development, testing, packaging, and delivery.

The primary task is to implement and customize the Adaptive Planning Connector (APC) for our clients. The APC is and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tool that extracts financial and other data from a client’s source system such as Financials (Great Plains, SAP), CRMs (SalesForce), PSAs (Open Air), and transforms the data through calculations and reformatting, and imports the data to Adaptive Planning using a web service request. Responsibilities include:

  • Writing new scripts and updating existing scripts for the Adaptive Planning Connector using the Pervasive Software Inc. Data Integration Engine.
  • Working with clients to determine specific extract and transformation details for their source system and Adaptive Planning model and updating the connector appropriately
  • Self manage and drive technical phases of project from set up through closure.
  • Implementing extract and transform stages for new source systems, using database, web service, or other api based access method.
  • Following industry and Adaptive Planning specific software development best practices for design, code, test, delivery, and archive of artifacts.
  • Helping improve the development process by capturing lessons learned, contributing to a library of common code, and participating in architectural and technical planning

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in delivering small to medium size software projects to satisfied end users.
  • Required: Two years professional level software development experience using any major language such as Java or C++ or any interpreted language such as Visual Basic or VBScript.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and tools for MS SQL Server and Oracle. Understanding of XML, SOAP, and web services. Command line use of Windows and Linux OS.
  • Basic project management - understanding how to assess and balance scope, schedule resources to create and execute a successful project plan. Ability to work professionally with both technical and non-technical client representatives to raise and resolve issues and set expectations. Set and meet delivery commitments, drive projects to closure.
  • Highly Desired: Pervasive software "rifl' script
  • Understanding of financial planning or accounting systems
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science discipline or Bachelor's degree and two years professional experience as a software developer with a record of successful commercial delivery.
  • Must live in the Bay Area or self-relocate to the Bay Area
