Who can participate in Adaptive Planning's community?
While the community is open to everyone, we especially encourage and invite the following:
- Users and domain experts from the financial community: You can contribute by sharing your expertise in the BPM domain and help us bring best practices to Adaptive Planning's user base.
- Developers, QA engineers, and other members of the development community.
- Partners that specialize in open source applications.

What is the difference between the Express Edition and the Corporate and Enterprise Editions?
Adaptive Planning Express Edition is a fully functional, productive-use budgeting and reporting solution. It is ideally suited for smaller businesses and organizations that are currently using spreadsheets for budgeting and reporting. Adaptive Planning also has two commercial offerings, the Corporate and Enterprise Editions, which provide more advanced features for collaborative budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis. Why is Adaptive Planning releasing an Open Source version of their product?
The two most powerful forces reshaping enterprise software today are software as a service and open source. Adaptive Planning has been a pioneer in using the software as a service approach to deliver high-value, collaborative BPM solutions. Now, by embracing the principles of open source distribution and community, we have further expanded our ability to provide unprecedented value to BPM customers.
With the open source Express Edition, Adaptive Planning is reaching out to a broad community: end users and developers within IT departments and partner organizations. End users and IT departments can use the Express Edition for their budgeting and reporting needs, or to quickly start an in-house trial of Adaptive Planning's product line. Developers and partners can download the sources, and contribute by adding more functionality, assisting with testing and documentation, and developing additional capabilities, such as connectors to third party applications.
How do I participate?
The easiest way to start participating is to send us an email with your bio and area of interest to community @adaptiveplanning.com. Community members will review your information and send you an email with further information.
VI. How do I get the latest build, or the latest code?
Each Release or Release Candidate will periodically be posted on our SourceForge site. You can get to the latest Release Candidate from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/adaptiveplan
